We are seeking an experienced Energy Trading Manager to secure the energy supply to our existing gas business across Stockholm and for the expansion to other Nordic countries with customers in transport and heavy industry.

Role: Energy Trading Manager
People you will be working with: You will be a senior member of the Commercial team working with sales colleagues, industry experts, marketing, operations, and finance.
What will be expected of you:
- Carry out gas, electricity and other fuel purchases and negotiate prices, contract terms and handle contract management.
- Portfolio management, nomination of volumes, follow-up of deliveries.
- External monitoring of the gas markets, development of purchasing strategies
- Carry out price hedging according to policy and mandate and develop policy for securing energy purchases.
- Manage customer pricing (proposal for price changes, new products, new price models etc).
- Monthly reporting of purchase prices, hedging rate, volumes, etc.
- Handle purchase prices, purchase volumes and gas prices in budget and forecast.
- Participate in the company's change journey to enable new business establishments, new products and new customer segments/markets.
- Support the sales team with supply solutions when new solutions are presented to potential customers.
Required skills:
- You have at least 5-years of experience from the energy sector or other industry with the purchase of energy products.
- You have experience of purchasing, negotiations and contract management as well as the ability to drive such purchasing processes from start to finish with signed and implemented agreements.
- You have experience in risk management.
- You have experience in handling external information and compiling reports and other basis for decisions.
- You can communicate effectively in both Swedish and English.
- You are analytical and commercially astute.
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint presentations.
- Ability to work as a member of the sales team, but individually motivated and able to drive own activity.
About the company:
Stockholm Gas and the gas grid currently provides an essential infrastructure service that helps to reduce pollution and greenhouse gas emissions by reducing and reusing waste gases both at the point of production, for example at municipal wastewater treatment plants and, at the point of use, through the displacement of fossil fuels in buildings and in transport.
The current composition of the gas supplied through the network includes approx. 80% biogas. In time, we work towards increasing the proportion of green gas in the network to 100%.
A new CEO is recruited from 1 January 2023 with a track-record of 5X growth in 5 years and he is hired to lead the new growth journey for the company based on the current platform but with ambitions outside the current core products and geographies. Extensive consultancy analysis has already been prepared to identify relevant growth areas. The growth areas will be within clean & local energy solutions for heavy transport and industries including data centres. Initial focus will be within our initial areas of Stockholm with expansion to the rest of Sweden and eventually Scandinavia.
The workplace is Solna, Stockholm with flexible work location Monday and Friday – and in the office Tuesday to Thursday.
